Tim Maloney

Tim Maloney is Managing Director and Founder of Newport Group Inc. Since 1990, under Tim’s leadership, the firm has designed and coordinated projects for the core leaders of privately held companies seeking to define and execute strategic objectives through aligned and engaged teams.

Mr. Maloney has written extensively and has contributed articles to various forms of media. The topics focused on achieving lifestyle and business congruence through seizing business advantage with entrepreneurial cultures, maximizing strategic growth potential, applying metrics to business performance, aligning sales teams with strategic corporate direction, how to implement performance feedback, defining leadership potential, along with providing direction for implementing workable succession strategy. Recently he has authored a book with Randy McLachlan of Genbridge Family Offices on the subject of Family Business Succession. The book titled Fortune’s Impasse is now available worldwide on Amazon. It can also be purchased at www.fortunesimpasse.com.

Prior to his focus on privately held business strategies, he designed entrepreneurial programs that assisted over 3,000 participants in launching viable businesses through partnerships with the federal and provincial governments and major Canadian banks. (see testimonials)

Leith Coghlin

LeithLeith Coghlin joined our team in the spring of 2015.

He brings diverse and valuable skill sets having spent most of his time in private business management, in consulting, automotive and bereavement services businesses.

A graduate of University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Leith leverages an Honours B.A. in Political Science, with long-established links throughout Ontario in various sectors from commercial and industry to municipal governments and provincial ministries. Mr. Coghlin also carries significant experience in the political sector having acted as a communications and outreach advisor to several senior-level politicians in Ontario.

A ten-year officer of the Canadian Army reserves, Leith continues to serve with his regiment the 1st Hussars. He and his wife Brandy are residents of London.

 Rudy Gheysen

Rudy Gheysen has been associated with Newport Group Inc since 2005.

He was formerly Director of the Ontario Police College from 2001 to 2011, having joined the College in August 1995 as the Deputy Director.

Mr. Gheysen began his policing career in 1975 with the London Police Service. In March of 1987, he was appointed Chief of Police for the Town of Aylmer where he remained until his appointment as Deputy Director of the Ontario Police College.

Mr. Gheysen holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and a Diploma in Police Management Studies from the University of Western Ontario. He holds Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Windsor.   He has completed numerous Executive Development and Management Courses at the Canadian Police College and the Ontario Police College, and is a certified Municipal Manager Level lll Police Executive.

He is a life member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (C.A.C.P.) and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (O.A.C.P.).

He is past Chair of the C.A.C.P. H.R. Committee, past Vice Chair of the O.A.C.P. Training Committee and the Canadian Police Sector Council advisory committee. 

He is past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Police Sector Council, the Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) Board of Directors, the Canadian Police College Advisory Board and University of Guelph’s Centre for Studies in Leadership.

Mr. Gheysen brings a special sensitivity in the areas of Leadership, Mediation, ADR and Team Dynamics to bear with client situations that he is introduced to through Newport Group.

 Brooke Maloney

Brooke graduated from Queen’s University in Spring 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts -Honours in film and computing.

Ms Maloney has already been recognized by her peers in being awarded Best Screenplay for a short film she co-wrote, and was Cinematographer of,  at the Focus Film Festival in Kingston ON.

In the past she has attended Cannes Film Festival in France. She has a continuing relationship with the Toronto International Film Festival at the Lightbox right here in Toronto.

She has worked in production on multiple film sets and as an assistant in post-production for television. In addition, Brooke volunteers for TIFF in their Content Management Department, where she is responsible for filming special guest events. She is also a member of Women in Film and Television (WIFT).

Beyond her regular projects, Brooke works internally with Newport Group as an Administration and Operations Associate.
